Elizabeth Shuffler Moore joined our firm's foreclosure section in 2004.
After several years managing a large judicial foreclosure firm in New
York, Ms. Moore decided to return to our firm in 2010.
Ms. Moore completed her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston,
received her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the
University of Southern Carolina, and earned her law degree from the University
of South Carolina School of Law. Before entering law school, she worked
as an archivist and records analyst with the South Carolina Department
of Archives and History. During law school, Ms. Moore was a recipient
of scholarship and earned CALI awards in Insurance and Mediation, Counseling,
and Negotiating.
Elizabeth Shuffler Moore returned to the firm in 2010 after spending several
years in New York, where she was the managing attorney of a large judicial
foreclosure practice. Ms. Moore received a Bachelor of Arts degree from
the College of Charleston in 1996 and a Master of Library and Information
Science degree from the University of South Carolina in 1998. Prior to
attending law school, Ms. Moore was employed as an archivist and records
analyst with the South Carolina Department of Archives and History. She
received her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School
of Law in 2001. While in law school, Ms. Moore was a scholarship recipient
and earned CALI awards in Insurance and in Mediation, Counseling, and
Negotiating.
Prior to first joining the firm in 2004, Ms. Moore practiced complex commercial
litigation with a large defense firm, where her areas of concentration
included general business litigation, banking litigation, franchise and
distribution litigation, and class action defense. Ms. Moore also served
as interim law clerk to the Hon. Joseph F. Anderson, Jr., Chief Judge,
United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. She is
admitted to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, and New York, and enjoys
exploring Charleston and the surrounding lowcountry with her two sons.
