Sean A. O'Connor is a member of the Charleston office at Finkel Law Firm LLC, focusing on litigation. His primary areas are lender liability and commercial/real property-related litigation, including having served as counsel for national loan servicers and lenders across the state. In addition, Mr. O'Connor has tackled cases involving debt collection, landlord-tenant disputes (commercial and residential), contested foreclosures, and other real estate-related litigation for HOAs, condominium associations, and other property regimes.

Mr. O'Connor is known as a skilled trial and appellate lawyer who has extensive experience taking cases in state and federal courts all across South Carolina, including the South Carolina Supreme Court.

Before joining Finkel Law Firm LLC, Mr. O'Connor worked at a busy South Carolina defense firm tackling complex insurance litigation, declaratory & direct actions for insurance companies, and professional liability defense for personal injury actions. He regularly teaches legal seminars on lender liability, debt collection, community association laws, and other insurance topics to other legal professionals.

Mr. O'Connor has previously served as an adjunct faculty member at the Charleston School of Law, teaching legal writing to first-year law students. He has also served on the Medical University of South Carolina's pro bono panel, offering free legal consultations to students. Currently, he is on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County and volunteers as a reading tutor for Charleston County Public Schools.

Before attending law school, Mr. O'Connor worked for several years in marketing and sales, first in the minor league professional baseball industry and later in the steel industry.
