
James Leffew
Charleston, South Carolina
James practices in the firm’s North Charleston office in the litigation
and real estate departments. Originally from Vero Beach, Florida, James
attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio where he earned his Bachelor
of Arts in History. James served as captain of the Denison University
Men's Basketball team and he brings the same qualities of leadership,
tenacity, and dedication he exhibited on the basketball court to the legal
profession.
James received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School
of Law in May of 2015. While at USC, James interned in the Richland County
Public Defender's Office, the Legal Department for Special Olympics
International in Washington D.C., and participated in a Non-Profit Clinic
where he helped clients with the formation and governance of Non-Profit/Charitable
Organizations.
Upon graduation, James immediately settled into the Lowcountry. James practices
in a variety of areas including personal injury, automobile collisions,
criminal defense, real estate matters, and non-profit/charitable organization
formation and governance. In his free time, James enjoys playing basketball,
coaching Special Olympics and other youth sports teams, and spending time
with his dog, Kalik, and serves on the board for 501(c)(3) Non-Profit
AbacoConnect.
